Plan B – Have You Got One? Thought About Working From Home?
Article by Chris Sullivan
The economy’s still on a downward spiral and the loss of jobs has become a reality to many, but where do those who have lost their jobs go from here?
One thing is evident in most parts of the world and local communities “too many people seeking work and not enough jobs”.
Do you just wait and see what comes next? Rely on others to put you back in work or are you going to take matters into your own hands and do something about it!
Can’t get a job, why not start a business.
Long gone are the days in which you needed enormous amounts of money to start a business, we’re now in the Internet era and it’s never been so easy to reach customers, advertise goods and network with like minded people. You can get started from home with no start up costs and no stock whatsoever just by selling information.
Why information?
93% of everything searched for on the Internet is information.
You don’t need any employees.
Huge profit margins.
No stock, the product is duplicated after the sale has taken place.
No competition your material is covered by copyright no one can duplicate your product
100% recession proof, you can choose the markets that are never affected by recessions, for example; people don’t stop giving birth or start neglecting their health just because of recession.
How you can get started.
First take a close look at your own interests, hobbies and passions. Then ask friends and family members what there interests, hobbies and passions are.
Start by writing a list of all your hobbies and everything that interests you “don’t write making money on your list” that’s not a hobby or interest.
The more things listed the better and once you have carried out this process with all your hobbies, interests and passions you will be bursting with ideas for products. It’s then just a case of looking for what people in that hobby want to buy, also look for problems to solve or information that is not readily available.
Looking for the problems and information will take a little bit of research even if you know your hobby well, do the research to be certain there is a market for your products.
I always start with my hobbies and interest first, the reason I start with my hobbies is because I am part of that market that’s my hobby. I buy what they buy, I know the kind of people who have the same hobby as me, I know what they like and dislike, I know how much they spend on specific products, how often they buy. Because I do or have done the same.
And because I know all this about my hobby I can easily come up with products that will interest the people who have the same hobby as me. Not only can I come up with products for my hobby, I already know what there comfortable spending level is on the type of product I want to create and how much they are willing to spend.
I can easily contact these customers, I know what they read, where they buy from and if there is an online presence so my marketing efforts will be targeted. You can see this makes my research very easy and when it comes to the offer or sales letter I know what to write and how to present my offer to make them buy from me.
Get started right away making a list of all your hobbies, interests and passions and let your ideas flow.
And you too can build a successful business from home. The success of any product or business on or offline is determined by the market you choose to sell too. Choose the right market to sell too, cover the questions they want answered and the information they’re looking for and you too can succeed and successfully build an income from home.
