Work From Home? Sure You Can

Not so long ago employers were falling over themselves to secure your services. That was when we held the upper hand and had freedom of choice about what we did and who we worked for.

Those halcyon days are now well and truly behind us. Wherever you live in the western world the ravages of unemployment and severe recession are inescapable. Unless you work for the government in some capacity with their protected jobs and pensions paid for by the rest of us. (Many of whom cannot afford to contribute to their own retirement fund) but that’s a whole other series of articles.

My subject today is really about taking control of our own destiny. Creating our own work from home business. If there are no jobs available or you don’t fit into the highly desirable employee category i.e. young, well qualified, mobile, experienced and prepared to buy the job or work under impossible conditions. This my friend is the real world today. To be fair to employers, times are really difficult for them. They can’t afford any passengers. Everyone needs to over deliver.

So if you are not one of the “Desirable Employees” what can you do? Build your own work from home business. Like I said take control. The only way forward is to work for yourself in whatever capacity you feel comfortable. Many people have been forced into a work from home situation, only to discover they should have done it years ago but lacked the courage to give up the security of being employed. Well now you have nothing to lose.

That’s all very well I can hear you say but I don’t have any spare capital to risk on a work from home business or anything that is not guaranteed. This is most relevant, as few of us have money to waste.

Which Business To Choose

However, there are many work from home businesses which can be set up at very little cost, which can produce a substantial income. No I definitely do not mean any of the “Get Rich Quick “schemes like MLM or anything like that. Stay away from anything which promises untold riches for very little effort. That does not exist. For any work from home business to be successful requires a good deal of hard work and effort. It’s a simple equation. The more you put in the more successful you will be. We do all need help at the start. Inspiration and ideas to get us off on the right foot.

My recommendation would be an internet based business but you need to be careful, as there are a lot of scammers out there who are only too willing to promise you the earth and take your money for worthless schemes. Please be careful and only deal with someone you are absolutely sure is genuine.

You could start with affiliate marketing. This costs nothing to get started and with a willingness to learn the business can produce very good results. From this you can develop your own products and earn even more. This is a big subject, so do some homework.

I don’t recommend any of the data entry work from home schemes which you will see advertised. Again they make it sound easy and profitable but it is my experience that these schemes generally do not work.

There are some very good work from home programs which teach you about VRE (virtual real estate). Basically the buying and selling of web sites for profit. Again sounds easy but you need to do your homework and get some good training. The main thing is to take action. No point in moaning about the situation. You must take decisive action today and get some advice. There are some good free guides available.
